เมื่อพูดถึง “ไวร์เมช (Wire Mesh)” หลาย ๆ คนได้ยินชื่อนี้แล้ว อาจจะสงสัยว่ามันคืออะไร ซึ่งคนส่วนใหญ่จะเคยเห็นและรู้จักกันในภาพลักษณ์ที่เป็นตะแกรงเหล็ก แบบแผ่น หรือเป็นม้วนใหญ่ ๆ ตามไซต์งานก่อสร้างต่าง ๆ ไวร์เมช (Wire Mesh)หรือ ตะแกรงเหล็กไวร์เมช ที่เรามักได้ยินกันบ่อยๆนั้น รู้หรือไม่ว่ามันคืออะไร ตะแกรงเหล็กไวร์เมช (Wire Mesh) คือ ตะแกรงเหล็กกล้าเชื่อมติดเสริมคอนกรีต ผลิตจากลวดเหล็กรีดเย็น (Cold Drawn Steel Wire) นำมา อาร์คเชื่อมติดกันด้วยไฟฟ้าทำให้จุดทุกจุดหลอมละลายเป็นเนื้อเดียวกัน มีขนาดเส้นลวดขนาดต่างๆตั้งแต่ 4 มม. - 12 มม. และระยะห่างของเส้นลวดหรือที่นิยมเรียกว่า @ มีหลายขนาด เช่น 10*10 ซม / 15*15 ซม. / 20*20 ซม. / 25*25 ซม. / 30* 30 ซม. 40*40 ซม. / 50*50 ซม. สามารถตัดเป็นแผงได้ตามความต้องการโดยไม่เสียเศษเหล็ก จะใช้แทนการผูกเหล็กเส้นธรรมดาทั่วไปเป็นอย่างดี ทำให้ประหยัดเวลา ประหยัดเงิน และแรงงานได้มาก และมีความสม่ำเสมอของตะแกรงที่แน่นอน อีกทั้งยังช่วยยึดเกาะคอนกรีตไม่ให้แตกร้าวง่าย ไวร์เมช จึงเป็นที่นิยมใช้กันอย่างแพร่หลายในอุตสาหกรรมการก่อสร้างนั่นเอง
