SIW's products can be manufactured using environmentally friendly raw materials from the steel production process with Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology, which primarily uses electricity to produce steel. This allows for increased use of recycled content, resulting in less environmental impact. EAF technology offers significant advantages over other steel production methods in terms of energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Unlike other steel production processes that rely on burning fossil fuels (biomass), EAF technology uses electricity to melt scrap steel and other metal raw materials in the steelmaking process. Using electricity instead of burning fuels reduces greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants. This aligns with SIW's sustainability policy.Furthermore, EAF technology enables us to efficiently use scrap steel as a primary raw material. By incorporating scrap steel as a major component in the production process, we reduce the need for virgin iron ore and minimize the environmental impacts associated with mining and extracting raw materials. This not only conserves natural resources but also supports the circular economy by promoting recycling and resource efficiency.Currently, SIW utilizes raw materials from EAF technology, which are carefully selected to ensure consistently high-quality steel wire products. These materials account for 70% of the total raw materials used by SIW in the factory for steel wire production. There are plans to increase this proportion further, enabling SIW to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and maintain a continuous plan for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
